This page is in lithuanian only. If you still would like to see it, switch to

You have to use this type of package only if you don't have any of previous version of GeoCAD installed.

Installer extracts several files into "C:\Program Files\$GeoCAD" directory, creating GeoCAD v3 group under 'Start' menu for easy removing of these files. No operations on registry are being performed.

Troubleshooting

After adding new support path AutoCAD crashes on launch

There have been  issues after adding additional support paths automatically and manually on localized versions of Autodesk Map 3D v2006-2008 in Lithuania. I think this is due to a very big quantity of already defined support paths (about 50). There never has been such an issue on system with only few support paths. So if there are a lot of them in your system, be prepared for AutoCAD crashing on launch. In that case you will have to use "regedit" from Start -> Run... , use Edit -> Find... and locate string "GeoCAD". After that you will have to modify registry value - delete path to GeoCAD directory. No new GeoCAD toolbars appear

At this point, if you don't have any third party add-ons for AutoCAD installed, installation should be finished. If after restarting AutoCAD you don't see any new toolbars, and there is no message in AutoCAD command line, like "Loading GeoCAD3 tools...loaded.", that means there are some duplicate files on your system, which prevents GeoCAD3 from installing correctly. The solution is as follows:

  1. Search your C: drive for file "acad.lsp", including hidden files and folders.
  2. If such a file is found, you will have to open "C:\Program Files\$GeoCAD\acad.lsp" file, copy its contents and paste it into the found file.
  3. Restart AutoCAD.

If you didn't find acad.lsp file, then second possible case is that your operating system is Windows Vista. There was an issue of GeoCAD v3 not loading until full read-write permissions has been set on directory "C:\Program Files\$GeoCAD".

If installation is still unsuccessfull, then it's a undetermined case of failed installation. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
