Quick filters toolbar is developed for quick selection of objects, based on the properties of object, currently selected on the screen.

The toolbar Quick filters looks like this:

How it works

Select an object on the screen, press the corresponding button.

Objects, sharing the same property value as the currently last selected object, will be selected on the screen. If you wish to add more objects to current selection, select some additional object and press the corresponding button again.

Example

Suppose you have a drawing, with multiple layers and different types of objects. You need to select all polylines on layers "7260" and "7258".

Select any polyline on layer "7260", then press button "Select by Entity, Layer".

Select any polyline on layer "7258", then press button "Select by Entity, Layer".

So far you have clicked only 4 times in the drawing.

Consider performing the same task with standard AutoCAD "Quick select" dialog:

1. Start the dialog (1 click)
2. Select object type - Polyline (2 click)
3. Select "Layer" (1 click)
4. Select layer "7260" from dropdown list (2 and more clicks)
5. Press OK (1 click).

That gives us at least 7 clicks for selection of the first type of objects and 8 clicks for adding to selection second type of objects.

So far you gain 11 spared clicks plus time saved.
